Today is the day

Within a few short hours I will have completed NaNoWriMo 2008. Only 1,856 words to go until I cross the 50,000 word finish line and have, technically, completed my novel titled (drum roll and/or dun dun dun, not included): When We Conquered.
Victory tastes oh-so-sweet.

Even genius’ fail sometimes

Dear iTunes Genius,
I don’t know exactly how you function, what your thoughts are, where you get all your handy-dandy information from, but, iTunes Genius, I’ll have you know that you fucked up. Big time.
You see, I hold a decent amount of faith in you and your accurate playlist crafting talent– that was until you followed [...]

You Can Vote However You Like….

VICTORY! Looks like I will, in fact, be returning home to U.S. soil in December. Thank you America for restoring my faith in the political system. I don’t want to start scribbling my blog with political meanderings, but I couldn’t resist vocalizing how proud of and excited I am about our next president. I was [...]

Ctrl +V

Before I officially call it a night, I must share this. I went to paste in my excerpt and this is what came out:
if all else fails i may join in on the tourism business
Too true my friends, too true.
Alright, goodnight night zombies.

Laura Veirs, helping me get the words out

Day two: 3,400 words in
I’m two days into this writing fest and feeling pretty great about it. The words are flowing fairly well and I’m beginning to get very involved and attached to my characters. They’re relatable and terribly flawed men and women. I like them. I still haven’t come up with an appropriate title, [...]

I’ve solved a problem

I’ve decided to write a novel. Deja vu anyone?
As a result of my less than stimulating course work at Charles University I’ve felt quite unchallenged and unproductive. My brain is wasting away because, aside from my pleasure reading, it is running idle.
For those unfamiliar with my personality, I really, really can’t stand it when things [...]
